This is a picturesque rural village in the Cotswolds (designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1966), and on the Stowell Park Estate of 6,000 acres of historic agricultural and sporting land.

St Michael’s Church is an attractive country church dating from the 12th century, situated amidst farm buildings with views across a lush green valley to the Stowell Park mansion.

Nearby is Chedworth Roman Villa, designated a National Monument, which was home to an early Romano-British settlement dating back to 2AD.

From Heathrow Airport, Yanworth is about two hours by car.

Apart from Yanworth, there are close to 100 quaint towns, villages and parishes dotted through the Cotswolds which is also famous for its traditional cuisine, with local specialties including Cotswold lamb, Gloucester Old Spot pork, and Stilton cheese.

For nature lovers, there is an abundance of walking and hiking trails offering the chance to explore the region’s diverse flora and fauna including delicate bluebells that carpet the woodland floors in the spring and in the autumn, the vibrant red and gold leaves are a joy to behold.
