Naunton is a picturesque village situated in the Cotswolds (designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1966) and boasts many scenic walks, including the famous Cotswold Way, that stretches 102 miles.

This village has several interesting features including a unique dovecote (a shelter with next holes for pigeons) featuring 1,200 nest holes and a lean-to added in 1882 and used as a corn mill for animal feed. See for more information.

The Black Horse Inn is a charming village pub with a beer garden, a dining room, and a big bar area that attracts horseracing folk (Cheltenham racecourse is only half an hour away) and locals. The food served is of the generous portion size. Said to serve the best fish and chips around.

There’s also The Hollow Bottom and Wheatsheaf Inn, both offering rooms and delicious British cuisine.

Set in 200 acres, Naunton Downs offers dining, sporting (18 hole, par 71 golf course), shopping, and a private member club.

A stone’s throw away is the Grange Hill Quarry run by Cotswold Natural Stone, a provider of products suitable for landscaping, masonry for traditional and modern buildings, dry walling, interior flooring and more.
