Situated west of Cirencester in the Cotswolds (designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1966), Ampney Crucis is a picturesque village that centers around its lovely village green, medieval church and boasts a cricket ground and village hall.

The Crown of Crucis Country Inn Hotel, by Ampney Brook, offers en suite rooms in a traditional country-house style and with plenty of free parking on-site; all ideal for returning to after a countryside walk.

Movies are shown on the fourth Wednesday every month by the Ampney Crucis Rural Cinema (a Cotswold District Council scheme) in the village hall. Tickets are paid for on the door and refreshments are included.

Heathrow Airport to Ampney Crucis takes approximately 90 minutes by car.
